Everyday is typically a busy day for me but last Friday was certainly a hand full. Recently the facility I train at, Goryde run by Bill and Courtney Kemmerer, asked me to become a cycling spin instructor, pretty much a dream job of mine to do anything with bikes. But in order to become an instructor I need to learn and watch how spin classes are run. I took on the challenge of attending one of their morning classes at 5:30 am. Since the studio was a half hour away, I woke up at 4:30 that morning and planned to leave at 5. Surprisingly I left right on time and was excited that I would be punctual and then got in the car and...no gas. So my sister used all my gas yesterday but it was okay there was a gas station right on the way. But what I didn't realize was normal gas stations aren't open at 5 am. Now I'm running late ugh. The next gas station was 5 miles the other direction. By the time I left that gas station I had 15 minutes to get to the studio that was 30 minutes away. Let's just say I used my need for speed to get there that day. I ran inside and got on the bike trying not to disturb the class. It was my first public spin class I've been to and was different than what I'm used to. It was only 6:30 am. when I was done working out, the time I would normally be crawling out of bed. What a long morning, but the morning workout felt so good. After the workout I showered and ran over to treat myself to some caramel latte before I went to school. While walking over to my car my hair FROZE. I guess going out in 0 degree weather after a workout and shower wasn't the best idea. It was off to school now and made it right on time. After school I rushed home, changed, and went to work at my waitressing job at a Chinese restaurant. While at work I went 30 minutes past my time because I was talking to this couple that was very interested in everything I do with cycling. It's amazing how I meet all these people that live in my town who i've never even seen before. After my non stop day from 4:30 to 10 with training, school, then work I was ready to sleep and never wake up.
